Short description: PEN CD-ART 14-CRED-DISBLD VETS Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the State Employee Article of the Illinois Pension Code to provide that, for a disabled veteran, the cost of establishing service credit for certain military service, including interest, shall not exceed $1,000 per year. Effective immediately. PENSION NOTE (Pension Laws Commission) Although the fiscal impact of SB1260 cannot be calculated, SERS estimates that it would be minor due to the relatively small number of SERS employees who are disabled veterans.
