Provides that the ordinance fixing compensation for the corporate authorities must specify whether they are to be compensated (i) at an annual rate, (ii) for each meet- ing of the corporate authorities actually attended, or (iii) for each meeting of the corporate authorities and each meeting of a committee of the corporate authorities actually attended (now, the ordinance must specify whether they are to be compensated at an annual rate or for each meeting of the corporate authorities actually attended). SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Further amends the Illinois Municipal Code. Deletes the provision allowing members of the corporate authorities to be compensated for each meeting of the corporate authorities and committee meeting of the corporate authorities actually attended. Provides that members may be compensated for each meeting of corporate authorities actually attended if public notice was given of the meeting (now, the members may be compensated for each meeting actually attended).
