SOS-BUSINESS SERVICES-FUND                                                 

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the State Finance Act, the  Business  Corporation  Act  of      
   1983,  the General Not For Profit Corporation Act of 1986, the Limited      
   Liability Company Act, and the  Revised  Uniform  Limited  Partnership      
   Act.   Changes  the  name of the Corporation Division of the Office of      
   the Secretary  of  State  to  the  Department  of  Business  Services.      
   Changes  the  name  of the Division of Corporations Special Operations      
   Fund to the Department of Business Services  Special  Operations  Fund      
   and  increases the maximum permitted balance in the fund at the end of      
   any fiscal year from $200,000 to $400,000.    Provides  for  fees  for      
   expedited  services  under  the  Limited Liability Company Act and the      
   Revised Uniform Limited Partnership Act and requires that  those  fees      
   and  fees for expedited services under the Business Corporation Act of      
   1983 and the General Not For Profit Corporation Act of  1986  be  paid      
   into  the  Department  of  Business  Services Special Operations Fund.      
   Makes  changes  concerning  filing  of  renewal  reports  by   limited      
   partnerships.                                                               
          FISCAL NOTE (Secretary of State)                                     
          Increased administrative costs are $158,000, while increased         
          revenue is estimated at $398,000.
