Short description: PEN CD-METRO PIER & EXPO AUTH Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Illinois Pension Code to allow a current or former employee of the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority to buy service credit in any retirement system under the Reciprocal Act. Requires payment of employee and employer contributions plus interest. Allows a person establishing this credit to reinstate credits previously terminated by refund. Amends the State Mandates Act to require implementation without reimbursement. Effective immediately. PENSION NOTE (Pension Laws Commission) Fiscal impact cannot be determined; accrued liability would increase if contributions are less than cost of credits purchased.
