Senate Sponsors: WALSH,L. Short description: VEH CD-RRS-ACCIDENT COUNSELING Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that rail carriers shall make counseling services available to crew members involved in accidents resulting in loss of life or serious bodily injury on their railways. Provides that crew members shall be placed on leave for at least 3 days after an accident. Provides that the leave shall be compensated unless the accident was due to the crew member's negligence. Provides that the Illinois Commerce Commission shall adopt rules to implement and enforce the new provisions.
