Requires the Department of Public Health to develop and administer an informational program about asthma and its treatment, targeted at high-risk population groups. HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Requires that the Department work in conjunction with State and community based asthma organizations. Replaces the obese with children as a target high risk population. Requires that the program include information about possible funding sources for treatment. Requires the Department to report to the General Assembly by January 1, 2000.
