MEDICAID-DISABLD BUY COVERAGE                                              

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the medical assistance Article of the Illinois Public  Aid      
   Code.    Allows  disabled  persons who meet certain financial criteria      
   (including an asset limit of $10,000) to purchase medical assistance.       
   Sets premiums for such a purchase at  (i)  $0  if  the  total  of  the      
   person's earned income and countable unearned income is less than 185%      
   of  the  federal poverty guidelines and (ii) 7.5% of the amount of the      
   person's earned income and countable unearned income that exceeds 185%      
   of the federal poverty guidelines if the total of that income does not      
   exceed 250% of the federal poverty guidelines.
