Short description: CRIME VICTIM COMP-HIT & RUN Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Criminal Identification Act, the Illinois Vehicle Code, and the Crime Victims Compensation Act. Requires that violations of the Illinois Vehicle Code involving driving with a suspended or revoked license or leaving the scene of an accident resulting in personal injury or death must be reported to the Department of State Police. In the Illinois Vehicle Code provisions concerning reckless driving, creates a presumption with respect to the operation of a motor vehicle with a willful or wanton disregard for the safety of persons or property. Includes leaving the scene of an accident resulting in personal injury or death as a "crime of violence" for purposes of the Crime Victims Compensation Act.
