House Sponsors: HARTKE. Short description: VEH CD-SIZE-WEIGHT-LOAD LIMITS Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that a home rule unit may not adopt local police or truck regulations or assess fines that are not identical in substance with the provisions of the Code Chapter regarding size, weight, and load permits, unless authority to do so is granted in that Chapter. Provides that the Section is a limitation under subsection (i) of Section 6 of Article VII of the Illinois Constitution on the concurrent exercise of powers by home rule units. Effective immediately.
