Short description:
AGING-RESPITE-TOBACCO PROCEEDS

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
Amends the Respite Program Act. Provides that the Director of
Aging shall establish respite projects throughout the State by July 1,
2001 (instead of that the Director is simply authorized to establish
such projects). Provides that funding sources for the respite
projects may include appropriations from the Tobacco Settlement
Recovery Fund. Requires the Director of Aging to report by January 1
of each year (rather than simply each year) concerning the progress of
the respite programs. Changes some references to respite "program" to
   respite "project".
