Short description: PEN CD-IMRF-SLEP INCR BENEFITS Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the IMRF Article of the Illinois Pension Code to increase certain benefits for sheriff's law enforcement employees (SLEPs), beginning January 1, 2001: compounds the automatic annual increase in retirement and surviving spouse benefits and doubles the surviving spouse benefit for survivors of persons with at least 20 years of SLEP service. Amends the State Mandates Act to require implementation without reimbursement. Effective immediately. PENSION NOTE (Pension Laws Commission) The fiscal impact of HB 3033 has not been determined, but could be substantial for SLEP employers.
