Senate Sponsors: SIEBEN Short description: VEH CD-VANITY PLATES-TRAILERS Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code to allow vanity and personalized license plates for trailers that are designed and used for the transportation of a boat or other watercraft, a horse, or a single motor vehicle. Provides that an applicant shall be charged $75 for vanity or personalized license plates for trailers. HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code to allow vanity and personalized license plates for trailers registered at 3,000 pounds or less. Provides that an applicant shall be charged $94 for vanity license plates for trailers. Effective July 1, 2004.
