Short description: 
CD CORR-PAROLE OFFICERS                                                    

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Unified Code of  Corrections.   Provides  that  parole      
   officers  may  only be assigned to supervise a maximum of 150 parolees      
   or  releasees.   Provides  that  parole  officers  must  meet  uniform      
   professional standards and ongoing in-service training as  established      
   by  the  Department of Corrections. Provides that a person may serve a      
   mandatory supervised release  term  of  one-fourth  of  the  time  the      
   defendant  served  in  a  term  of  imprisonment or the time currently      
   specified for the class of offense, whichever is greater.                   
          CORRECTIONAL NOTE (Department of Corrections)                        
          Impact on the corrections population would be minimal. Fiscal        
          impact would total $8.4 million annually.
