IDPH-PREVENT ATHEROSCLEROSIS                                               

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Creates  the  Atherosclerosis  Prevention   Act.    Directs   the      
   Department  of Public Health to establish a program for the prevention      
   of atherosclerosis and the reduction of death and disability from  the      
   disease.   Requires  the  Director  of  Public  Health  to  appoint an      
   11-member Atherosclerosis Advisory Committee to  establish  guidelines      
   and standards for implementing the Act.
