Short description: 
CRIM CODE-GOOD SAMARITAN                                                   

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Adds the Duty to Aid Law to          
   require a person to aid another who is in peril if aid can be accom-        
   plished without harm to the person providing the aid. Penalty for           
   failure to aid is a petty offense with a maximum fine of $100. Amends       
   the Good Samaritan Act to exempt from liability a person who aids           
   another if required by statute to do so.                                    
          JUDICIAL NOTE (Administrative Office of Ill. Courts)                 
          There may be an increase in judicial workloads; impact on the        
          number of judges needed cannot be determined.                        
          FISCAL NOTE (Attorney General)                                       
          There would be no fiscal impact on the A.G. Office; any              
          additional duties would be absorbed by existing resources.
