Short description: 
PROSECUTORIAL MISCONDUCT                                                   

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Creates  the  Prosecutorial  Misconduct  Act.   Provides  that  a      
   prosecutor who commits prosecutorial misconduct (official  misconduct)      
   is  not  immune  from  civil  liability  for  his  or  her misconduct.      
   Provides that if the court is aware of prosecutorial  misconduct,  the      
   court  must  order the clerk of the court to transmit evidence of that      
   misconduct to the Attorney Registration and  Disciplinary  Commission.      
   Provides  that  the  Supreme  Court  Clerk must transmit a list of all      
   cases that have been reversed because of prosecutorial  misconduct  to      
   the  Attorney  Registration  and  Disciplinary Commission.  Amends the      
   Local Governmental and Governmental Employees  Tort  Immunity  Act  to      
   provide  that  the  civil  immunity  does  not apply to instituting or      
   prosecuting a case and committing prosecutorial misconduct.  Effective      
   immediately.
