Short description: 
PATIENT-RIGHT TO RECORDS-COST                                              

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Medical Patient Rights Act.  Provides for the right of      
   each patient, upon the written request of the patient or the patient's      
   guardian or legally authorized representative, to be furnished a  copy      
   of  the  record of the patient's health history and treatment rendered      
   to the patient by a physician or other health care  provider.   Limits      
   the handling fee that may be charged for providing records to $10 plus      
   a fee of not more than $.35 per page for copies of documents made on a      
   standard photocopy machine.
