ELEC CD-CHANGE ELECTION DATES                                              

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Election Code, the Revised Cities and Villages Act  of      
   1941,  the  School  Code,  and the Illinois Highway Code.  Changes the      
   date of the general primary election to the third Saturday  in  March.      
   Changes  the  date  of  the consolidated primary election to the third      
   Saturday in February.  Changes the date of the  consolidated  election      
   to the first Saturday in April.  Effective January 1, 2000.
