Short description: 
CRIM CD-DEFACE PROP-LIC SUSP                                               

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Criminal Code of 1961 to provide that a  person  under      
   19  years  of  age convicted for criminal defacement of property shall      
   have his or her driving privileges suspended by the Secretary of State      
   for 1 year.  Requires the clerk of the court to send a report  to  the      
   Secretary  of  State  concerning the conviction of any person under 19      
   years of age for criminal defacement of property.                           
        HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1.                                                 
        Further amends the Criminal Code of  1961  to  provide  that  the      
   court  may  (instead  of  shall)  suspend  the  driving privileges for      
   persons under 19 years of age  convicted  of  criminal  defacement  of      
   property for up to 1 year (instead of 1 year).
