House Sponsors: BRADY AND REITZ. Short description: BINGO ACT-RAISE PRIZE LIMIT Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Bingo License and Tax Act. Increases the daily prize limit to $6,000. Provides that the Department of Revenue may authorize 2 days per year during which the daily prize limit shall be further increased to $10,000 per day. Provides that the prize limit for a single game shall be $1,000. HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Deletes all changes made by the bill. Provides that the Department of Revenue may issue a special prize license to a licensee, subject to the approval of the county in which the licensee conducts bingo. Provides that a special prize license shall authorize a licensee to award prizes or merchandise on a single day of bingo that has an aggregate value that does not exceed $10,000 up to 2 times per year.
