House Sponsors: SAVIANO-RYDER-JONES,LOU-BUGIELSKI. Short description: IDPH-ALTERN HLTH CARE-POSTSURG Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Alternative Health Care Delivery Act. Provides that an authorized postsurgical recovery care center may request permission from the Department of Public Health to expand the scope of the services provided by the center to allow the treatment of nonsurgical patients. Requires that the proposed services be provided to generally healthy patients and meet other criteria. Requires the Department's approval of the proposed services. HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1. With respect to a hearing to contest the Department of Public Health's failure to approve a postsurgical recovery care center's request to expand the scope of its services, removes the requirement that the Department conduct the hearing in accordance with the Illinois Administrative Procedure Act.
