Provides that the minimum monthly personal needs allowance for a person who is an inpatient in a institution or facility for which payments are made under the Medical Assistance Article throughout a month, and who is determined to be eligible for medical assistance under that Article, is $50. Effective immediately. FISCAL NOTE (Dept. of Human Services) This bill will cost DHS $2.1 million. FISCAL NOTE (Dept. of Public Aid) Assuming all residents have at least $50/month in income, cost would be approximately $14 M annually, beginning in FY2000.
