Senate Sponsors: O'MALLEY Short description: VEH CD-BOY-GIRL SCOUT PLATES Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code and the State Finance Act. Authorizes special license plates designated as Boy Scout and Girl Scout plates. Provides for increased fees for these plates to be paid as grants to the Boy Scouts of America and the Girl Scouts of America subject to appropriation by the General Assembly and approval by the Secretary of State. Creates the Boy Scout and Girl Scout Fund as a special fund in the State treasury. FISCAL NOTE (Secretary of State) Additional expenditures of $50,000 would be required.
