 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members  of  the  Illinois  Senate  wish  to
 3    express their sincere sympathies to the family and friends of
 4    Aage Jensen, who recently passed away; and

 5        WHEREAS,  Mr.  Jensen  was  born in Chicago, Illinois, on
 6    September 2, 1925; he was a graduate of DePaul University and
 7    attended the Church of the Good Shepherd in Oswego; and

 8        WHEREAS, Mr. Jensen and his long-time friend and business
 9    associate, C.R. Musgrave, Jr.,  owned  and  operated  several
10    companies,  including: Major Leasing Service Inc., and Rental
11    Transportation Inc., which  evolved  into  Major  Enterprises
12    Inc.  of  Bartlesville, Oklahoma and Chicago, and the Gem Oil
13    Company of Aurora; Mr. Jensen also operated the  Holiday  Inn
14    in Bartlesville and the Shield Oil Company of LaSalle; and

15        WHEREAS,  Mr.  Jensen  served his country in the European
16    Theater during World War II as a Staff Sergeant in the United
17    States Army; and

18        WHEREAS, He was a member of the Oswego  American  Legion,
19    the Oswego Lions Club, and the Aurora Optimist Club; and

20        WHEREAS, Aage Jensen is survived by his wife of 36 years,
21    LaVonne;  his children, Susan (Tim) Gersdorf, Phyllis Jensen,
22    Kristina (Shawn)  Jensen,  Stephen  (Kaye)  Sanders,  Michael
23    (Kathy)  Sanders, Mark Jensen, and Martin Jensen; his sister,
24    Ella Claessens; his brother, Jens  (Maxine)  Jensen;  his  19
25    grandchildren;  his  15  great-grandchildren; and many nieces
26    and nephews; therefore, be it

27        RESOLVED, BY  THE  SENATE  OF  THE  NINETY-FIRST  GENERAL
28    ASSEMBLY  OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
29    all that knew him,  the  death  of  Aage  Jensen  of  Geneva,
30    Illinois;  may  there  be  peace and serenity in this time of
31    loss; and be it further

 1        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
 2    presented to the family of Aage Jensen.
