1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn
3 of the death of Mrs. Sally K. Davis of Taylorville on Monday,
4 May 17, 1999; and
5 WHEREAS, She was born in Des Moines, Iowa, on November
6 26, 1944, the daughter of Otis and Mildred F. Auxier Clark;
7 she married Martin L. Davis in 1962 in Des Moines; and
8 WHEREAS, Mrs. Davis was co-owner of the McDonald's
9 Restaurant in Taylorville; she was also a member of the First
10 United Methodist Church in Taylorville; and
11 WHEREAS, Her passing will be deeply felt by her family
12 and friends, especially her daughter, Deborah L. Bandy; her
13 sons, Bradley, Karol, and Rodney; her daughter-in-law,
14 Shannon; four grandchildren; her brothers, Jerry and Larry
15 Clark; and her sister, Joyce Cross; therefore, be it
16 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL
17 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow
18 and regret the death of Sally K. Davis and extend our sincere
19 condolences to her family and friends; and be it further
20 RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
21 presented to her family.
