1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn
3 of the death of Mrs. Demetra Rentas of Park Ridge on Friday,
4 April 30, 1999; and
5 WHEREAS, She was raised in Chicago's Austin neighborhood
6 and attended the Socrates School; she married Nicholas
7 Francis Rentas, who owned a wholesale produce company in
8 Chicago; and
9 WHEREAS, The couple celebrated their fiftieth wedding
10 anniversary in 1988; and
11 WHEREAS, Her passing will be deeply felt by her family
12 and friends, especially her sons, James, John, Tom, Steve,
13 William, and Gus; her sister, Helen Christos; and fourteen
14 grandchildren; therefore, be it
15 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL
16 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow
17 and regret the death of Mrs. Demetra Rentas and extend our
18 sincere condolences to her family and friends; and be it
19 further
20 RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
21 presented to the family of Mrs. Demetra Rentas.
