1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn
3 of the death of Mrs. Gertrude Renken, mother of the Very
4 Reverend John A. Renken, vicar general and moderator of the
5 curia, judicial vicar, and co-pastor of St. James in
6 Riverton; and
7 WHEREAS, She was born on October 15, 1908 outside
8 Carlinville, the daughter of Henry and Albertina Klotz; she
9 died on Thursday, April 15, 1999; and
10 WHEREAS, Preceding her in death were her parents and 15
11 siblings and her husband, William; and
12 WHEREAS, Her passing will be deeply felt by her family
13 and friends, especially her daughter, Trudi, and her son,
14 Father John Renken; therefore, be it
15 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL
16 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow
17 and regret the death of Mrs. Gertrude Renken and extend our
18 sincere condolences to her family and friends; and be it
19 further
20 RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
21 presented to her children.
