1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn
3 of the death of Mrs. Bernice Keaton Wilson of Chicago on
4 Sunday, March 28, 1999; and
5 WHEREAS, She was born in Indianola, Mississippi, on May
6 30, 1935, the daughter of John and Rachel Keaton; and
7 WHEREAS, A devoted wife, mother, relative, friend, and
8 neighbor, Mrs. Wilson professed a belief in Christ at an
9 early age and became a Minister of Care at St. Ailbe's; and
10 WHEREAS, Her passing will be deeply felt by her family
11 and friends, especially her husband of 43 years, Melvin; her
12 daughters, LaDonna Wilson Romain and Stacey Lynn Wilson; her
13 son-in-law, Eustace Romain; and her grandson, Jared Melvin
14 Romain; therefore, be it
15 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL
16 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow
17 and regret the death of Mrs. Bernice Keaton Wilson and extend
18 our sincere condolences to her family and friends; and be it
19 further
20 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
21 presented to her husband, Melvin Wilson.
