1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn
3 of the death of Mrs. Mary L. Chick of Chicago on March 2,
4 1999; and
5 WHEREAS, She was born on May 20, 1917, the daughter of
6 Twig and Ruby Stubblefield-Fields; and
7 WHEREAS, She was a homemaker, a loving mother and
8 grandmother, and a caring friend; she had been married to
9 Lucius Chick; and
10 WHEREAS, Her passing will be deeply felt by her family
11 and friends, especially her children, James, Lucius, Lillian,
12 Ruby, Ronnie, Leroy, Dorothy, Casanova, Doris, Jean, Josh,
13 Vivian, Lena, Faye, and Equilla; her sons-in-law, Ronnie and
14 Alen; her daughter-in-law, Brenda; her sisters and brothers,
15 Esther, Regina, Louvenia, Cecil, Maurice, Terah, and Noble;
16 her brother-in-law, Charles; her sister-in-law, Lena; and her
17 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
18 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL
19 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow
20 and regret the death of Mrs. Mary L. Chick and extend our
21 sincere condolences to her family and friends; and be it
22 further
23 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
24 forwarded to the family of Mary L. Chick.
