91_SB1617enr SB1617 Enrolled LRB9112759JSpc 1 AN ACT concerning automobile insurance coverage. 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 3 represented in the General Assembly: 4 Section 5. The Illinois Insurance Code is amended by 5 adding Section 143.32 as follows: 6 (215 ILCS 5/143.32 new) 7 Sec. 143.32. Replacement of child restraint systems. A 8 policy of automobile insurance, as defined in Section 143.13, 9 that is amended, delivered, issued, or renewed after the 10 effective date of this amendatory Act of the 91st General 11 Assembly must include coverage for replacement of a child 12 restraint system that was in use by a child during an 13 accident to which coverage is applicable. As used in this 14 Section, "child restraint system" has the meaning given that 15 term in the Child Passenger Restraint Act. 16 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 17 becoming law.
