 1        AN  ACT  to  amend  the  State  Gift  Ban Act by changing
 2    Section 10.

 3        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:

 5        Section 5.  The State Gift Ban Act is amended by changing
 6    Section 10 as follows:

 7        (5 ILCS 425/10)
 8        Sec.  10. Gift ban.  Except as otherwise provided in this
 9    Act, a no member,  officer,  employee,  or  judge  shall  not
10    solicit  or  accept any gift from any prohibited source or in
11    violation  of  any  federal  or  State  statute,   rule,   or
12    regulation.   This ban applies to and includes spouses of and
13    immediate family living with the member,  officer,  employee,
14    or  judge.   A No prohibited source shall not offer or make a
15    gift that violates this Section.
