91_SB0323enr SB323 Enrolled LRB9102825SMpr 1 AN ACT to amend the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting 2 Act by changing Section 4.02. 3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 4 represented in the General Assembly: 5 Section 5. The Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act 6 is amended by changing Section 4.02 as follows: 7 (325 ILCS 5/4.02) (from Ch. 23, par. 2054.02) 8 Sec. 4.02. Any physician who willfully fails to report 9 suspected child abuse or neglect as required by this Act 10 shall be referred to the Illinois State Medical Disciplinary 11 Board for action in accordance with paragraph 22 of Section 12 22 of the Medical Practice Act of 1987. Any dentist or dental 13 hygienist who willfully fails to report suspected child abuse 14 or neglect as required by this Act shall be referred to the 15 Department of Professional Regulation for action in 16 accordance with paragraph 19 of Section 23 of the Illinois 17 Dental Practice Act. Any other person required by this Act 18 to report suspected child abuse and neglect who willfully 19 fails to report such shall be guilty of a Class A 20 misdemeanor. 21 (Source: P.A. 86-1004.)
