1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to honor Mr. Anthony M.
4 Tortoriello, a proud Italian American and native son to
5 Illinois; and
6 WHEREAS, After his graduation from St. Mel's High School,
7 Tony served honorably with the United States Army during the
8 Korean War; and
9 WHEREAS, In 1961, Tony founded the Torco Oil Company,
10 which by 1990 grew to over $900 million in revenue; and
11 WHEREAS, Torco Holdings Inc. is a highly diversified
12 company, marketing industrial fuel oils, automobile
13 dealerships, and natural gas; and
14 WHEREAS, Mr. Tortoriello is a devoted husband to his
15 wife, Enis Marie, and a loving father to his daughter, Julie,
16 and son, Anthony; therefore, be it
17 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
18 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
19 we congratulate Mr. Tortoriello and Torco Holdings Inc. on
20 the 40th anniversary of doing business in the State of
21 Illinois; and be it further
22 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
23 presented to Mr. Anthony M. Tortoriello.
