1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to honor milestones in the lives
4 of citizens of the State of Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, Ron Troutman was born in Marion, Illinois, on
6 June 30, 1940; he and Revann Jeffery were married on
7 September 7, 1958; in 1960 they moved to Aurora, Illinois,
8 where Ron began his career with Caterpillar, Inc.; Ron and
9 Revann have two children, Rocky and Darla; they are also the
10 proud grandparents of six grandchildren; and
11 WHEREAS, In 1964 Ron Troutman was elected union steward,
12 and has been a union representative from Local 145 for
13 thirty-six years; he has served as steward, chief steward,
14 vice steward, president, and international representative of
15 the union while employed with Caterpillar; Mr. Troutman also
16 served as the first vice president and president of the AG
17 IMP Council in the 1970's; and
18 WHEREAS, Ron Troutman is active in the martial arts,
19 particularly the discipline of Isshin Ryu Karate; he and his
20 son opened the Champion Karate Studio in 1974; he and his son
21 have trained many local and national champions at their
22 studio, utilizing the spiritual and mental aspects of the
23 art; and
24 WHEREAS, Ronald Troutman has made the decision to retire
25 from UAW Region 4 in September of 2000; he and his wife,
26 Revann, plan to build a new home, travel, spend time with
27 their grandchildren, and continue to study the martial arts;
28 therefore, be it
29 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
30 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
31 we congratulate Ron Troutman for his hard work and dedication

1 and wish him the best in his future endeavors; and be it
2 further
3 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4 presented to Ron Troutman, along with our sincere regards.
