1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to honor key events in the State
4 of Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, Tellabs will break ground for their new
6 facilities in Naperville, Illinois, on April 10, 2000; and
7 WHEREAS, Tellabs will create about 2,800 new jobs for the
8 region over the next three years; Tellabs headquarters are
9 located in Lisle, Illinois; and
10 WHEREAS, Tellabs employs 7,000 people in nearly 60
11 locations around the world; Tellabs is a global solutions
12 provider that designs, manufactures, markets, and services
13 data, voice, and video transport, switching/routing and
14 network access systems that are used worldwide by the
15 providers of communications services; and
16 WHEREAS, Tellabs is committed to customer service and
17 satisfaction; their customers include cable operators and
18 wireless service providers, local and long distance carriers
19 and alternate service providers; and
20 WHEREAS, Tellabs has a vision for the future that
21 includes becoming a global solutions provider that is
22 resourceful, candid, and sure in helping service providers be
23 successful, helping service providers build and manage the
24 new public network, and helping service providers offer new
25 services and reach more customers; therefore, be it
26 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
27 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
28 we congratulate Tellabs on the groundbreaking of their new
29 facilities in Naperville; and be it further
30 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
