1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of this House are pleased and
3 honored to recognize significant milestones in the lives of
4 individuals of this great State; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Frank Glowaty
6 is celebrating his 25th anniversary as principal of Ss. Peter
7 and Paul School in Naperville; the occasion will be marked
8 with fellowship and dinner at Cress Creek Country Club on
9 Friday, May 12, 2000; and
10 WHEREAS, Frank Glowaty received his bachelor's degree
11 from Lewis University in Romeoville in 1967 and his master's
12 degree from St. Xavier University in Chicago; and
13 WHEREAS, He started his teaching career at St. Dennis
14 School in Lockport and served as junior high teacher,
15 assistant principal, and athletic director from 1967 to 1975;
16 he moved to Ss. Peter and Paul School in 1975 as principal
17 and also took over as Development Director in 1988; and
18 WHEREAS, Mr. Glowaty was president of the Joliet Diocesan
19 Principal's Association from 1978 to 1982 and again from 1989
20 to 1992; he was an adjunct teacher at the Dominican
21 University Development Institute from 1992 to 1996; and
22 WHEREAS, Mr. Glowaty has been listed in the Who's Who of
23 Elementary School Principals; he is a recipient of the Lewis
24 University Alumni Board Award, the Naperville JC's Educator
25 of the Year Award, and the National Catholic Education
26 Association's Presidential Award for Outstanding Service to
27 Catholic Education; and
28 WHEREAS, Through his leadership, Frank Glowaty has
29 created an atmosphere that has united the faculty and parents
30 of the school to work together to provide an excellent
31 environment for the students to learn, grow, and develop; and

1 WHEREAS, Mr. Glowaty and his wife, Char, live in
2 Plainfield, and are the proud parents of Stacey, Grant, and
3 Courtney Glowaty; and
4 WHEREAS, Frank Glowaty has earned the respect and
5 admiration of all who know him; his fellow principals in the
6 Joliet diocese recognize him as a mentor and a leader;
7 therefore, be it
8 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
9 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
10 we congratulate Frank Glowaty as he celebrates 25 years as
11 principal of Ss. Peter and Paul School and applaud the years
12 of dedicated service he has given to education; and be it
13 further
14 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15 presented to Frank Glowaty.
