 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The State Employees  and  Universities  Combined
 3    Appeal,  otherwise  known  as  SECA,  has  allowed  State and
 4    university employees to make  voluntary  contributions  to  a
 5    variety   of  qualified  charitable  organizations  at  their
 6    workplace; and

 7        WHEREAS, This effort has resulted in millions of  dollars
 8    being  allocated  to many charitable organizations throughout
 9    the State at no cost to the taxpayers; and

10        WHEREAS, The operation of the SECA campaign is shared  by
11    the  Office  of the Lieutenant Governor and the Department of
12    Central Management Services, with assistance from the  Office
13    of the Comptroller; and

14        WHEREAS, There is an Advisory Committee of employees from
15    various    State   executive   officers,   departments,   and
16    universities that are responsible for the operations  of  the
17    campaign; and

18        WHEREAS,   This  Advisory  Committee  has  conducted  its
19    activities in a fair manner, keeping in mind the integrity of
20    the  campaign,  the  interests  of   State   and   university
21    employees,  and the interests of the participating charities;
22    and

23        WHEREAS,  The  membership  of  the   Advisory   Committee
24    consists  of  the  following  dedicated State employees: Jodi
25    Schrage, Chair, Department of  Central  Management  Services;
26    Doris  Dicenso,  Department of Revenue; John Farmer, Illinois
27    State Police; Margarite Faulkner, Illinois  Criminal  Justice
28    Information    Authority;   Nancy   Hirsch,   University   of
29    Illinois-Chicago;  Melissa  Riggins,  Department   of   Human
30    Services;  Rick  Dunbar,  Department  of  Corrections;  Larry
31    Selinger  and  Carol  Green, Office of the State Comptroller;

 1    Sue Jason, Department  of  Public  Aid;  James  Johnson  III,
 2    Department   of   Public  Aid;  Susie  Smith,  Department  of
 3    Insurance; Barb White, Governor's Office; Bernadette Dorocke,
 4    CATS; and Amalia Rioja,  Office  of  the  State  Comptroller;
 5    therefore, be it

 6        RESOLVED,   BY   THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES  OF  THE
 7    NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS,  that
 8    we congratulate SECA and the Advisory Committee on a job well
 9    done; and be it further

10        RESOLVED,  That  a  suitable  copy  of this resolution be
11    presented to the Chair of the Advisory  Committee,  Ms.  Jodi
12    Schrage,  in recognition of the service and dedication of all
13    of the Committee members.
