1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, St. Anne Catholic Parish in Hazel Crest is
3 celebrating its fiftieth anniversary in 2000; and
4 WHEREAS, This historic occasion will be marked by a
5 dinner-dance to be held on January 21, 2000 at the Martinique
6 in Evergreen Park; on that evening, a celebration will be
7 held where the congregation and friends will have the
8 opportunity to join with each other in a joyful celebration
9 of this milestone in their Church's history; and
10 WHEREAS, It is through the tireless efforts of Father
11 Michael J. Sweeney, Father Edmund Schreiber, and Father
12 Leonard Dubi that the Church has been a stable and enduring
13 beacon of spiritual service to its members throughout the
14 past fifty years; and
15 WHEREAS, During the past fifty years, the Church has gone
16 through a series of renovations and modernizations, and
17 through it all has continued to provide the Hazel Crest
18 faithful with the necessary services essential to the
19 socialization and stabilization of a community; therefore, be
20 it
21 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
22 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
23 we congratulate St. Anne Catholic Parish on the occasion of
24 its fiftieth anniversary and acknowledge the valuable
25 services it has provided throughout the years; and be it
26 further
27 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
28 presented to Father Leonard Dubi on behalf of the
29 congregation.
