1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that the members of
3 this Body welcome the opportunity to recognize organizations
4 of this State that make outstanding contributions to society;
5 and
6 WHEREAS, The Junior League of Greater DuKane, Inc. has as
7 its goal to improve the quality of life for children at risk;
8 it provides critical resources and programs through trained
9 volunteers; and
10 WHEREAS, The Junior League of Greater DuKane, Inc. was
11 founded in 1992 to provide community commitment in DuPage,
12 Kane, Kendall, and Will Counties; and
13 WHEREAS, The Junior League of Greater DuKane, Inc. has
14 placed emphasis on identifying and developing new programs to
15 meet changing community needs; and
16 WHEREAS, The projects supported by the League's
17 membership include: Kids on the Block, Greater DuPage MYM's
18 Parents Pantry, Childserv, Glenwood School for Boys, DuPage
19 Children's Museum, and Story Wizards; and
20 WHEREAS, The women who are members come from DuPage,
21 Kane, Kendall, and Will Counties and serve as volunteers and
22 provide hours of valuable support and expertise in their
23 communities; and
24 WHEREAS, The celebration honoring the Junior League of
25 Greater DuKane, Inc. will be held of March 18, 2000;
26 therefore, be it
27 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
28 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
29 we wish to thank the members of the Junior League of Greater
30 DuKane, Inc. for their many hours of help and to congratulate

1 the League for the good that has been done for the community;
2 and be it further
3 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4 presented to Liz Murer, President of the Junior League of
5 Greater DuKane, Inc.
