1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that the members of
3 this Body welcome the opportunity to recognize citizens of
4 this State who make outstanding contributions to society; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Mrs. Louise
6 Morales has been honored by dedicating an addition to
7 Strassburg School of Sauk Village in her name; and
8 WHEREAS, Mrs. Morales has served on the Community
9 Consolidated Schools, District 168 Board of Education for the
10 last twenty years; she has served as President of the Board
11 for the last five years; and
12 WHEREAS, Mrs. Morales has also served as President of the
13 Special Education Cooperative (SPEED) for the last fourteen
14 years and has served on that board for sixteen years; and
15 WHEREAS, Mrs. Morales is also very active in the
16 community, being the director of the Sauk Village Salvation
17 Army for the past seventeen years and serving on the local
18 housing authority; she has been a presenter at numerous State
19 conferences; and
20 WHEREAS, It is with pleasure that we join the Sauk
21 Village community in paying tribute to Mrs. Louise Morales;
22 therefore, be it
23 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
24 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
25 we congratulate Mrs. Louise Morales on having the new
26 addition to the Strassburg School named as the Louise J.
27 Morales Center; and be it further
28 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
29 presented to Mrs. Louise Morales as a token of our respect
30 and admiration.
