1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The North Central Illinois Council of Government
3 is celebrating its 20th anniversary of serving rural
4 communities in North Central Illinois in October of 1999; and
5 WHEREAS, The North Central Illinois Council of Government
6 provides low-cost planning technical assistance to
7 communities in Bureau, Marshall, Putnam, Stark, LaSalle, and
8 Grundy counties; and
9 WHEREAS, The North Central Illinois Council of Government
10 provides local governments with assistance in the areas of
11 financial management, housing, and community development; and
12 WHEREAS, The North Central Illinois Council of Government
13 promotes sound economic and developmental expansion for
14 smaller utility investments and sensible preservation of
15 natural resources and agricultural land; and
16 WHEREAS, The North Central Illinois Council of Government
17 advocates for and assists local governments applying to State
18 and federal agencies for local grant applications; therefore,
19 be it
20 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
21 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
22 we commend the North Central Illinois Council of Government
23 for its important work over the past 20 years on behalf of
24 rural communities and extend best wishes for continued
25 success; and be it further
26 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
27 presented to the North Central Illinois Council of
28 Government.
