1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The institution of marriage is one of the
3 cornerstones upon which our society is built, and a marriage
4 that has achieved a notable longevity is truly a model for
5 the people of the State of Illinois; and
6 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Mr. and Mrs.
7 Lyle Putsch of Macon will celebrate the fiftieth anniversary
8 of their marriage; and
9 WHEREAS, Lyle Putsch and the former Norma Jean Eckhardt
10 were united in holy matrimony on June 12, 1949 at Macon
11 Presbyterian Church in Macon; and
12 WHEREAS, They are the loving parents of Doug and Debbie
13 and the proud grandparents of Kelsey; and
14 WHEREAS, Lyle retired from Caterpillar and Norma retired
15 from Zips Florist in Decatur; and
16 WHEREAS, The respect for marriage reaches one of its
17 highest plateaus when a couple such as Lyle and Norma
18 celebrate their golden wedding anniversary; and
19 WHEREAS, They stand as examples of the best of our
20 society, and their love and devotion to each other and to
21 their family and friends serve as a reminder to all that hard
22 work, dedication, and love can make a difference in today's
23 world; therefore, be it
24 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
25 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
26 we congratulate Lyle and Norma Putsch on the occasion of
27 their fiftieth wedding anniversary; that we commend them for
28 achieving a long and happy marriage, blessed with children
29 and a grandchild and rich in friendships; and that we wish
30 them happiness and good health in the future; and be it

2 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
3 presented to them as an expression of our respect and esteem.
