1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of this Body are happy to recognize
3 organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the
4 well-being of the citizens of this State; and
5 WHEREAS, The Normal Rotary Club will be celebrating fifty
6 years of community service on June 17, 1999; and
7 WHEREAS, After these past fifty years, the membership
8 still has two of its Charter Members as active members, Ben
9 Gildersleeve and Frank Nardin; Jack G. Wilz is currently the
10 District 6490 Governor; and
11 WHEREAS, The Normal Rotary Club has for fifty years been
12 active in promoting physical, industrial, and cultural
13 improvements in the community; and
14 WHEREAS, Rotarians render humanitarian service all over
15 the world and promote good will among all peoples through
16 Rotary International; therefore, be it
17 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
18 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
19 we congratulate the Normal Rotary Club for fifty years of
20 service, commend them for their sense of civic responsibility
21 and their dedicated service to the community, and wish them
22 continued success in the future; and be it further
23 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
24 presented to President Linda Ash.
