1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, On March 5 through the 7, 1999, V103's Expo for
3 Today's Black Woman will celebrate the aspirations and
4 achievements of African-American women; and
5 WHEREAS, Thousands of women will come together in the
6 spirit of sisterhood; and
7 WHEREAS, Panel discussions and seminars will boost
8 self-esteem, reaffirm ideologies, and uplift the economic,
9 intellectual, and spiritual well-being of African-American
10 women; and
11 WHEREAS, Such issues will be addressed as "Overcoming
12 Abusive Relationships", "How to Improve Your Financial
13 Health", "The Write Stuff-Best Selling Authors", and
14 "Self-Empowering Secrets for Sisters on the Move"; therefore,
15 be it
16 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
17 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
18 we welcome V103's Expo for Today's Black Woman and wish all
19 involved much luck in the future; and be it further
20 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
21 presented to V103's Expo for Today's Black Woman.
