1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of this Body are honored to
3 recognized significant milestones in the lives of the people
4 of this State; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Helen Louis
6 Ward is celebrating the sixty-fifth anniversary of her birth
7 at a party on February 21, 1999; and
8 WHEREAS, Helen Louis Ward was born February 20, 1934, in
9 Meridan, Mississippi, to Mary and Sam Jones; and
10 WHEREAS, She retired from the United States Post Office
11 after thirty years of dedicated service; she is a member of
12 Christ Universal Temple; she is a member of the Third
13 Saturday Social Club and MUS-ACT Fine Arts Club; and
14 WHEREAS, She is married to Vernon F. Ward, and they have
15 two daughters and one son; cooking and entertaining are Mrs.
16 Ward's hobbies; and
17 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
18 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
19 we congratulate Mrs. Helen Louis Ward on the occasion of her
20 sixty-fifth birthday and extend to her our sincere best
21 wishes for the future; and be it further
22 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
23 presented to her as an expression of our respect and esteem.
