1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of this Body are happy to recognize
3 organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the
4 well-being of the citizens of this State; and
5 WHEREAS, The Junior League of Greater DuKane, Inc. is
6 worthy of our recognition for its work to improve the quality
7 of life for children at risk; and
8 WHEREAS, The Junior League of Greater DuKane, Inc. is an
9 affiliate of the Association of Junior Leagues International;
10 it is an organization of women committed to promoting
11 voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving
12 the community through the effective action and leadership of
13 trained volunteers; and
14 WHEREAS, Women from DuPage, Kane, Kendall, and Will
15 Counties serve as volunteers and provide hours of support and
16 expertise in their local communities; and
17 WHEREAS, A celebration will be held on March 6, 1999 to
18 recognize this organization; therefore, be it
19 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
20 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
21 we congratulate and applaud the work done by the Junior
22 League of Greater DuKane, Inc. and its devotion to improving
23 the community; and be it further
24 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
25 presented to the President of the Junior League of Greater
26 DuKane, Inc., Lynn Day.
