1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4022
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 4022 on page 1, by
3 replacing line 12 with the following:
4 "Director of Commerce and Community Affairs Governor with the
5 advice and consent of the Senate. Of those"; and
6 on page 1, line 17, by replacing "Governor" with "Director
7 Governor"; and
8 on page 1, line 29, by replacing "quarterly" with "annually
9 quarterly"; and
10 on page 2, by replacing lines 14 and 15 with the following:
11 "Lieutenant Governor shall employ and fix the salary of a
12 Statewide coordinator who, to the extent possible, shall";
13 and
14 on page 2, line 18, by replacing "Board" with "Department
15 Board"; and
16 on page 2, line 18, by changing "by the" to "by the"; and
17 on page 2, by replacing lines 19 through 21 with the
18 following:
19 "Board of local governments and community organizations. The
20 guidelines shall be approved by a majority of the members of
21 the Board."; and

1 on page 2, lines 22 and 24, by replacing "Statewide
2 coordinator" each time it appears with "Department Statewide
3 coordinator"; and
4 on page 2, by replacing lines 27 through 33 with the
5 following:
6 "The Statewide coordinator shall submit proposed programs
7 to the Board. The Board shall approve program proposals by a
8 majority vote of the quorum present. In no event shall the
9 Board veto a program by a vote of fewer than 4 members. A
10 vetoed proposal may be resubmitted to the Board by the
11 Statewide coordinator after necessary changes in the proposal
12 have been made.".
