1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3936
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 3936 as follows:
3 by replacing the title with the following:
4 "AN ACT to amend the Illinois Vehicle Code by changing
5 Section 5-104.3."; and
6 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the
7 following:
8 "Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by
9 changing Section 5-104.3 as follows:
10 (625 ILCS 5/5-104.3)
11 Sec. 5-104.3. Disclosure of rebuilt vehicle.
12 (a) No person shall sell a vehicle for which a rebuilt
13 title has been issued unless that vehicle is accompanied by a
14 Disclosure of Rebuilt Vehicle Status form, properly signed
15 and delivered to the buyer.
16 (b) The Secretary of State may by rule or regulation
17 prescribe the format and information contained in the
18 Disclosure of Rebuilt Vehicle Status form.
19 (c) A violation of subsection (a) of this Section is a
20 Class A misdemeanor. A second or subsequent violation of
21 subsection (a) of this Section is a Class 4 felony.

2 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
3 becoming law.".
