1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3576
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 3576 by replacing
3 the title with the following:
4 "AN ACT concerning higher education."; and
5 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the
6 following:
7 "Section 5. The Illinois Consortium for Educational
8 Opportunity Act is amended by changing Section 9 as follows:
9 (110 ILCS 930/9) (from Ch. 144, par. 2309)
10 Sec. 9. Terms of award. After a person has been
11 accepted into the ICEOP, the individual shall be eligible for
12 up to a $15,000 $10,000 award annually which shall be
13 renewable for up to an additional 3 years provided that he or
14 she makes satisfactory progress toward completing his or her
15 degree.

17 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on
18 July 1, 2000.".
