1 AN ACT to amend the Criminal Code of 1961 by adding
2 Section 31-9.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Criminal Code of 1961 is amended by
6 adding Section 31-9 as follows:
7 (720 ILCS 5/31-9 new)
8 Sec. 31-9. Concealing identity.
9 (a) A person commits the offense of concealing identity
10 when he or she conceals his or her true name or identity or
11 disguises himself or herself with intent to obstruct the due
12 execution of the law or with intent to intimidate, hinder, or
13 interrupt a public officer in a legal performance of his or
14 her duty under the laws of the United States or of this
15 State.
16 (b) Concealing identity is a Class B misdemeanor.
